Marc Leishman leads day one by a shot at 6-under 67
Marc Leishman leads round one at the Sentry Tournament of Championship by a shot over Brian Harman and Jhonattan Vegas at 6-under 67 with a round consisting eight birdies and two bogeys, four of his bogeys came back to back on the 7th, 8th, 9th, and the 10th holes, and a 20-foot birdie on the 17th kept him for the lead, in a very windy situation where it blew up to 35mph today.
Vegas and Harman finished the day tied for the second position on the board at 5-under 68 at the par-73 Kapalua’s Plantation Course.
While Harman went bogey-free today with five birdies in his round, Vegas posted seven birdies and two bogeys in his round today.
Sharing the fourth place on the board is Rickie Fowler who dawned a natural Hawaii shirt for his round today, who overcame a double-bogey on the 13th hole with two straight birdies and an eagle on the 18th to finish the day at 4-under 69, joining him to share the spot are The Players Champion Si Woo Kim and Dustin Johnson.
Si Woo Kim posted three continuous birdies on the 15th, 16th, and the 17th holes out of six birdies and two bogeys today for a 4-under 69 today, and Johnson posted an eagle on the par-5 5th, three birdies and a bogey on the par-4 7th, and drove massive 359 yards carried drive on the par-4 12th. 417 yards hole.

Defending champion Justin Thomas posted 2-under 71 today for a T-12th finish with Ryan Armour, Brendan Steele, Jason Dufner, and Jon Rahm.
Jordan Spieth who had a splendid 2017 finished Day 1 for a T-30th finish with Cameron Smith at 2-over 75, an interesting fact to know here is Jordan has never gone above par in his last 12 rounds.
Cameron Smith recently won at the Australian PGA Championship, in a two-hole playoff against Jordan Zunic, in December 2017.
