Prom Meesawat qualifies with five-under 67 today
Prom Meesawat signed for a 67 to finish to finish of the leaderboard on Day 3 of stroke play at the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth.
Meesawat fired three consecutive birdies from 10th to the 12th hole and aided them with four birdies and two bogeys later in his round for a 67 today added by 67 and 70 in his previous two rounds.
Sunday’s play will switch to match play, with five rounds of six hole knockout matches to determine who will win the second staging of the event at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.

“I did well for the last two days, I only missed a couple of shots to put myself in the top position,” said Meesawat.
“Very happy to finish first but still a lot of golf for tomorrow and I think it’s going to be good fun.
“It [a win] means a lot. I’m going to earn my European Tour card and it’s going to be the first win for me on the European Tour.
“I’m just going to go out and have fun, concentrate on my game.”
Meesawat is followed with two-shot by Sean Crocker, Lucas Herbert, and the 2014 winner Thorbjorn Olesen at 10-under-par-206.
Dimitrios Papadatos, Brad Kennedy, Yusaku Miyazato, and Sam Horsfield too secured the first round byes after finishing eight-under-208 for a T-5th position on the board.
The second round co-leaders Lee Westwood and Brett Rumford both missed their cuts with matching 78 for the day and total score of 2-under 214 for a T-40th finish on the board.
Rumford was looking out to defend his title at World Super 6 after leading the field continuously for two days, his 78 today consisted three birdies, five bogeys, and two unfortunate double-bogeys to put final nails to his dreams of defending the title.

The full list of qualifiers consists of 24 players consisting of top T-17 ranked players after the finish of three rounds at Lake Karrinyup Country Club, Perth.
