Shubhankar Sharma leads by a shot at 6-under 66
Shubhankar Sharma is still in the hang of his latest triumph at the Joburg Open becoming the youngest ever Indian to win an event on the European Tour and now leads on Day 1 of Mcleod Russel Tour Championship taking his recent form to India at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Kolkata.
Following the leader by a shot at 5-under 67 are Rahil Gangjee and Rashid Khan, where Rahil posted a bogey-free round consisting five birdies, where he sank two 25-footers for birdies and a 20-footer for par on the 13th, was joined by Khan with six birdies and a bogey in his round, where he showed great character with his short game on the 13th with a chipped in birdie.
Aman Raj, Sachin Baisoya, N Thangaraja, and Yuwa Kosaihira share the fourth place on the board at 3-under 69 and followed by PGTI Order of Merit Leader Shamim Khan, Viraj Madappa, Om Prakash Chouhan, and Abhijit Singh Chadha at 2-under 70.
SSP Chawrasia playing at his home course looked troubled today with his round of 1-under 71 consisting 4 birdies and 3 bogeys for a share of 12th position on the board with Khalin Joshi, Manu Gandas, Veer Ahlawat, Himmat Singh Rai, Kapil Kumar, Karandeep Kocchar, and Sudhir Sharma.
