William Harrold leads day one of Asian Golf Championship

Rookie on the Asian Tour William Harrold broke the course record today on Day one of the KG S&H City Asian Golf Championship by posting eight-under 64 to lead by four at the Kaikou Golf Club’s West Course. Harrold received his Asian Tour Card in January 2017 and is playing his first year on the Tour, he earned his card in his third attempt.

His round of eight-under 64 makes him the only player to return to clubhouse bogey-free, consisting 16 greens and only 26 putts today.

Following the leader Namchok Tantiphokhakul, is four shots back at four-under 68 consisting five birdies and a bogey in his round, where Harrold went bogey-free with four birdies each on the front and back nines.

The Followers

Following the top, two spots for a share of third-place on the board are Liu Yan-wei, Ye Jiang Feng, Teemu Putkonen, Ryan Ree, Hung Chien Yao, Callum Tarren, and Yuan Hao at three-under 69 for the day.

Indians at the Event

Majority of the Indian Players are representing at AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open we have Aman Raj and Arjun Prasad making us proud at the event.

Aman Raj currently shares the 61st place on the board with Settee Prakongvech, Danny Masrin, Chinnarat Phadungsil, Jonathan Woo, Sung Mao-chang, and Liu Chun at four-over 76, where Aman posted three birdies, five bogeys, and a double-bogey on par-5 13th.

Arjun Prasad managed to capture a share of the 68th place with his five-over 77 consisting one birdie, four bogeys, and a double-bogey on the last hole, joined by Zhang Zi-hong, Ye Liu-Qiang, Ekthumrong Luanganuruk, Somsak Kaopratum, Zhi Sang, Jungsung Kim, Panuwat Muenlek, and Pijit Petchkasem.
